Mine Counter Measure Systems EIVA offers integrated command, control and mine counter measure systems for the Swedish Mine Counter Measure Vessel’s (MCMV) Styrsö class. The system provides all on-board command and control functionality required. From route planning to navigation and accurate positioning, from minesweeping to mine hunting and destruction. The heart of the MCMV system is a number of UNIX based, networked workstations, communicating with navigation, positioning and radar subsystems, as well as with mine sweeps, sonar’s, and remotely operated vehicles (ROV’s). Although the arrangement supports the traditional roles of the commanding, navigation and mine-hunting officers, as well as those of the sonar and ROV operators, it also permits much better work flexibility since all the information and the intervention capabilities available to one station can easily be made available to others. The basic system structure is independent of the number of workstations and of the number and types of peripheral subsystems connected. For these reasons, the MCMV system allows for easy adaptation to different requirements as well as upgrade of existing installations when the needs arise.
